In this master class we will have a closer look at non-affixational processes of word formation. We will briefly introduce the notions of conversion, clipping, and blending. Special attention will be paid to compounding, its characteristics and classification. Finally, we will look at some less common phenomena like widening and narrowing of the meaning of a word.
